Hi NAPNA Members,

I hope the start of your summer is treating you well. Although I know this beautiful weather makes us focus our efforts on our summer BBQ's and outdoor activities, I wanted to remind you all that our Nevada primary elections are fast approaching on Tuesday June 12th.

I have long looked forward to voting with great civic pride. Now, as an APRN, I know my voice and vote carry a different weight. Nurse practitioners are not only leaders in our field, but also in our communities. Voting in our local, state and federal elections creates an opportunity for us to make our voices heard and act as role models in the communities we serve. Here is some info to help you navigate the Nevada State Primaries:

How do primaries work in Nevada?

A primary election is an election in which registered voters select a candidate that they believe should be a political party's candidate for elected office to run in the general election. They are also used to choose convention delegates and party leaders. Primaries are state-level and local-level elections that take place prior to a general election. Nevada utilizes a closed primary process, in which the selection of a party's candidates in an election is limited to registered party members.

Is there Early Voting?
