NAPNA Board of Directors Updates

Dear NAPNA Members,

The Board would like to announce the resignation of our Legislative Liaison, Vania Carter and our Treasurer Amanda Keefer. The Board would love to thank them for their contributions and dedication to such a tough, self-sacrificing and often thankless job! We wish them well in their future endeavors. At this time the Board will not be appointing a Legislative Liaison, but chooses to wait until we get closer to the legislative session. The Board has voted per the guidance of the bylaws to appoint Alex Romero as the interim treasurer. We are absolutely thrilled with this leadership addition as his current practice competencies are psychiatric/mental health at the VA. We find this strength to be of great advantage since we have remaining practice issues in this specialty. Also, because his practice location is in Northern Nevada, this serves to maintain the balance of membership representation in both the North and South regions.

It is a pleasure for us all to serve you and hold on to your hats! We have some interesting things planned for the next legislative session based on the input from the membership to maximize full, autonomous practice.
