Greg Peistrup, a long-time Las Vegas emergency nurse and nurse practitioner passed away on September 17th from COVID. Greg was a good friend to Nevada nurses, and he precepted countless RN and NP students over the decades. Greg was a preceptor for Touro University Nevada (among several other programs).

In honor of Greg, the Nevada Nurses Foundation, the charitable and philanthropic arm of the Nevada Nurses Association, has set up a legacy endowed scholarship in Greg’s name. These funds will go directly to support nursing and nurse practitioner students in the state of Nevada. In this small way, we can continue Greg’s legacy of supporting his fellow nurses. The scholarship is well on its way to having enough donations to become an endowment, meaning it will provide scholarships every year in perpetuity.
