SBIRT for Health Professionals ECHO Series – launches October 30, 2023 at 12PM PST

Project ECHO Nevada in partnership with UNR CASAT invites you to their upcoming 6 session free series entitled SBIRT for Health Professionals. This program aims to provide community health professionals with the training and support they need to manage substance use issues within health settings specializing in treating pregnant and non-pregnant persons of reproductive age populations using an SBIRT model. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to review cases with an interdisciplinary team of experts, including; a clinical social worker, clinical psychologist, and an advanced nurse practitioner.

SBIRT for Health Professionals Series Schedule*

  • October 30, 2023: Program Orientation
  • November 6, 2023: Screening
  • November 13, 2023: Brief Intervention and Motivational Interviewing
  • November 20, 2023: Referral to Specialty Care
  • November 27, 2023: Medication- Assisted Treatment
  • December 6 ,2023: Implementation Planning

Please note that while attendance at each session is not mandatory, our ECHO team strongly recommends that you attend the majority of sessions in order to maximize your learning and collaboration during the series. If you are unable to attend any session(s) we still encourage you to join us again whenever possible.

 

 

This is a free program with CME/CEU credit available for AMA PRA Category 1, nursing, pharmacy, and social work. 1.0 credit hour will be available per session.

Project ECHO is a telehealth program with the goal of amplifying the scarce specialty care resources in our state. This is accomplished by holding regularly scheduled video conference sessions where providers can connect with interdisciplinary teams of subject matter experts for case consultation and continuing education.
